We are excited to announce the return of the Buyelekhaya Campaign, designed to help lapsed policyholders reinstate their Icebolethu Funerals membership and continue enjoying all its benefits. This limited-time campaign is available to policyholders whose policies have lapsed and will run until 31 December 2024.
The first 200 clients will receive the following when they sign up.
- x1 R100 iSave Shoprite Checkers voucher via cell phone when policy activated.
- A welcome-back T-shirt or promotional item, with the message ‘Welcome Back Home.
TERMS & CONDITIONS: BUYELEKHAYA CAMPAIGN
Commencement date: 16 Oct 2024.
- Policies that lapsed before 1 January 2024 or after 30 September 2024 do not qualify for the Buyelekhaya Campaign. For these policies, reinstatement will be subject to standard terms and conditions.
- To reinstate their policy, clients can simply pay one month’s premium, with no waiting period.
- The policy must have completed the standard waiting period prior to its lapse in order to qualify for immediate reinstatement with no waiting period. If the waiting period was not fully completed, client does not qualify for Buyelekhaya campaign, but normal reinstatement rules apply.
- Buyelekhaya Campaign exclusively offers services, i.e., burial, tombstone, catering, etc.
- Clients opting for cash at claim stage instead of the services, the Buyel’ekhaya benefits will not apply.
- Cash claims will be subjected to the standard terms and conditions of the normal waiting period:
- For clients aged 64 years and below: a 3-month waiting period.
- For clients aged over 64 years: a 6-month waiting period.
- Top-ups: a 6-month waiting period
- Clients with added benefit cards previously can reinstate this feature by paying a rejoining fee of R250.
- All claims related to suicidal deaths are excluded from the benefits offered under this campaign.
Such claims will be subject to the standard 12-month waiting period.
- The Buyelekhaya campaign is available for all individual policies, Dignity plans (IFS or ICE), SADC, High-end packages (IFS or ICE), all Supplementary/Top Up plans .
- The corporate group schemes, as well as UK packages, are not included in this campaign.
- The campaign will run until 31 December 2024
